The Fabulous Story of Stitch London (formerly Stitch and Bitch London)

Japan is a great place. A fantastic place. And naturally they have their own Stitch and Bitch.

My recent visit to Tokyo took me to the Pink Cow, where I met the lovely ladies of Stitch and Bitch Tokyo. The Pink Cow is an ‘Art Bar’ located in Shibuya, Tokyo (a bit out of the way of the madness around Shibuya Station, which is a bit of a relief). It’s a cool place to find out what’s going on in the arty world in Tokyo and to meet people of the artistic type. The night I met S&B Tokyo, the Pink Cow was heaving with various groups including knitters.

If you are in Tokyo and fancy taking a break from the hussle and bustle of this hectic city, I recommend stopping having a knit and a bitch with these lovely ladies, who meet fornightly.

To be honest I was too busy nattering to get much knitting done. Conversation was as it often is at S&B London, about things you like, projects you’ve worked on, where you’ve been, stuff on TV and knitting in general. These ladies also gave me very useful advice on where to go in Tokyo to buy fabric and yarn.

The lovely Kat, told me about a very special visit the group had last year from Japan’s very own Knitting Prince! I could not believe Japan had it’s very own knitting royalty! Check out Kat’s blog to find out all about the prince’s visit to S&B Tokyo. The ladied of Stitch and Bitch Tokyo
