The Three Dutch Knitters of Oud-gastel

Posted by Stitch and Bitch London on February 18, 2007

This fabulous Scarf Patch arrived all the way from Oud-gastel in the South of Holland from Corina Fiolet, Nicole Fiolet and their good friend Johanna Stenfert. It is the combined work of three knitters who have banded together in the name of Cancer Research and knitting.

The things we love most about it are the variety. We want our Lion Scarves to have as many people’s knitting styles in it and here are three very different styles all joined up. Just the idea we are going for.🙂

Also it is Nicole Fiolet’s very first knitting effort (and a very fine one at that). (Sorry about the mistake with the names before Nicole!) What a cool thing to do for a first project!

Here is a pic of Oud-gastel for those of you who wonder what it looks like.

Dank u zeer, dames! (I hope that is right!)
