The London Knit Crawl: 9th of June

Saturday the 9th of June is Worldwide Knit in Public Day . Hurrah! What better time than this to get out there and show the world what you can do with your sticks and string?

Stitch and Bitch London are doing it in style with the world’s most ambitious London Knit Crawl. From St Pauls to the Tate to the Eye and ending in our home from home Trafalgar Square with its lions.

Grab your most portable project and join us knitting in at some of London’s most famous landmarks. Come and knit at just one, or buy yourself a Travelcard and do them all. Soon all of London will submit to the knit!

Venue One: St Paul’s Cathedral
Time: Noon – 1pm
Where: Knitting on the cathedral steps
Address: St Paul’s Cathedral
St Paul’s Churchyard
Venue Two: The Tate Modern
Time: 1.30 – 2.30pm
Where: Knitting on the steps of the slope leading into the main turbine hall
Address: Tate Modern

Venue Three: The London Eye Time: 3.30 – 4.30
Where: Knitting on the grass (Jubilee Gardens) in front of the Eye
Address: Jubilee Gardens (next to the London Eye)
Westminster Bridge Road

Venue Four: Trafalgar Square
Time: 5 – 6pm
Where: Knitting on and around the Lions and Column
Address: Trafalgar Square

If you don’t know how to knit then bring some stuff along and we’ll teach you for free.

At the end of a long knitty day we will also be retiring to the nearby Walker’s of Whitehall pub for a well-deserved drink or seven. Join us! Join us!
