  • The Blue Blanket Square Spectacular: 16th October 2007

Posted by Deadly Knitshade on September 24, 2007

S&B London are currently putting together the UK SnB Blanket. A fabulous giant blanket made of squares by knitting groups from all over the UK.

We would like the capital city’s knitters to come together on the 16th of October at the Royal Festival Hall from 6 PM to help us knit blue squares for the base of the blanket.

You can bring them along on the day, or turn up to the event with your blue yarn and some needles and stitch in public to create your square.

Each 20cm by 20cm square will be part of the UK SnB blanket to be exhibited at UK SnB Day on the 10th of November.

The S&B London Stitchettes are also willing to teach anyone who can’t knit but wants to join in for free. Just bring along blue yarn and some needles and ask us.

If your knitting group wishes to be part of the blanket they can also bring along squares on the day. Details of requirements for individual knitting group squares can be found at here.
