About The Lion Scarf

As you may or may not know Stitch and Bitch London began to knit gigantic scarves for all of the rather chilly-looking Trafalgar Square lions in late 2006. The scarves were knit to help raise money for Cancer Research UK and were presented to the Lions in at the Grand Lion Bescarfing on 20th MARCH at 11.30 am in Trafalgar Square

The scarves can be used for anything at all, but the best use so far is that they make amazing little stool-type cushions to sit on. They look fabulous and are comfy all at the same time.

  1. Your Lion Scarf Tale has made it all the way across the Atlantic Ocean to Boston, Massachusetts! What a terrific idea to raise awareness for such a worthy cause. Knitters can unite for anything!

Actually we are planning on exhibiting the scarf somewhere in London later in the year (if anyone has any ideas where we would love to hear them).

As for other plans that are similar we have a few in the pipeline. Keep an eye on the blog for more. Should be something in the next month or so. 🙂
